  • Descriptions:
    • Purpose:
During this service, we will pray for world peace, blessings and wisdom. May our parents and foes be free of suffering. May Buddhism flourish and benefit all beings.
    • Content:
      1. During the ten-day service, focus on the scripture of Emperor Liang’s Jeweled Repentance, thereby calming the body and mind and revealing our innate wisdom. Through earnest repentance and prostration, reconnect the body and mind with purity and tranquillity, eradicate negative karma and receive blessings.
      2. Under the guidance of the Masters, recite the scripture and engage in repentance; solemnly and respectfully participate in this especially auspicious service while adhering to the Dharma and Buddhist discipline.
      3. The chanting at Lingyen Mountain Temple follows the tradition of ancient forest monasteries in Mainland China. The sound is graceful and soothing. Listening to this chanting can bring us calm and purity, help us connect with the teachings, as well as other inconceivable benefits.
      4. Report to the Information Centre before 6:00 pm on March 22nd. An explanation of the accommodation rules will be given at 6:30 pm and the Ground Purification Ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm. Those who intend to stay over at the temple during the service should register as early as possible.
