Every cause has its corresponding effect. There must be a cause, to experience the effect. You must act in accordance with the Law of Cause and Effect!　
According to the Law of Dependent Origination, even the Buddha had to cultivate the necessary causes in order to become a Buddha. He was not a Buddha right from the moment he was born.
