At the beginning of the New Year, everyone should reflect upon themselves and pull together the determination to reform themselves: In this coming year, my virtues and moral character must grow from last year. I must eradicate ignorance and karmic obstacles. I must improve in my practice of the Bodhi path until it is perfected and I have thoroughly eliminated afflictions and karmic hindrances.
