Those who are arrogant have affinity to anger, not the Way. Arrogance breeds hatred, which in turn breeds anger, planting seeds of negative karma in people’s minds. You have to destroy the ivory tower of arrogance which stems from attachment to the self, even if it is difficult to do so.
