Buddhism teaches us to be guided by our Buddha Nature. We will treat all sentient beings with respect and assist all in eradicating their suffering such that they attain happiness. By reforming our narrow-mindedness, we will be rewarded with the eradication of our own suffering and the attainment of happiness. The Buddha teaches us to bring forth our Bodhi resolve to benefit others with selflessness on any given occasion. This is in accordance with Prajna, which contains the unsurpassed and profound wisdom that can be applied to all circumstances, keeping us safe and peaceful, enabling us to be accomplished in blessings and wisdom.

We should be broad-minded so that we will have a harmonious family that prospers. If everyone can respect each other, this harmony and prosperity can extend to our society, the country, and the world, and all will prosper.

To truly cherish yourself, you need to awaken the Bodhi Mind and practice the Bodhisattva Path. That is how you can benefit all sentient beings, bringing peace and joy to you and others, attaining Buddhahood in the end. This is how you truly cherish yourself.

In your practice of the Bodhisattva Way, you might not have the chance to speak the Dharma, and you might not have sufficient circumstances to guide all sentient beings. In that case, everyone should work together to complete the monastery, and allow countless beings to come and practice. In doing so, we cultivate myriad practices and gradually adorn us with all kinds of blessings and virtues. At that time, even if you do not wish to become a Buddha, you will be given that title automatically.

Making impartial offerings to the Sangha yields great blessings
If you make an offering to ordinary monastic practitioners with an impartial mind, the virtues you will accrue are no different from the virtues of making an offering to a Buddha. It is their own business if they are accomplished in their cultivation or not. You are simply respecting them as a member of the Sangha Treasure who wears the Buddha’s kasaya robe. It is not that easy to wear the kasaya robe. You should know that in a few kalpas’ time, you won’t be able to see any monastic practitioners in the world.

Without forbearance, it would be even more difficult to uphold precepts or to practice giving. We must learn to endure hardships in order to accomplish our cultivation and attain Buddhahood. Only when we have perfected forbearance are we able to attain liberation and Nirvana.

True Nature is the fundamental substance or body of all things. It manifests infinite phenomena according to causes and conditions. Such infinite phenomena make up the Ten Realms, which include Four Realms of Sages and Six Unenlightened Realms. The Truth at the Buddha’s level is the Buddha Nature. From the human’s perspective, the truth becomes human nature. The fundamental substance of the human mind is the ultimate nature—the Buddha Nature—which does not change; but the human mind does change in accordance with causes and conditions.

It is inevitable to have some attachments now. It is okay, as long as you do not become too attached. Do not get carried away about what is right and wrong, as this kind of attachment is a suffering.

Buddhism teaches the Law of Dependent Origination; as long as conditions are ripe and you act accordingly, you can achieve anything. On the other hand, if the conditions are not ripe, you will not get whatever you wish for. Everything is governed by this Law, which is the Law of Cause and Effect. You reap what you sow; this is a clear fact.
