It’s a foolish kind of blessing if you have the blessings but lack wisdom. It’s a dry kind of wisdom if you have the wisdom but lack the blessings. So you must cultivate both your blessings and wisdom equally and sufficiently. Your virtuous roots will blossom and bear fruit, and your wisdom and blessings will be fulfilled as you wish.

We must make steady progress in our practice. Do not be distracted and be fuddled all the time. If you use your mind in every moment of your Buddha Recitation, then the more you chant, the more joyous you will be, and the purer your mind will become. You will not find it hard and tiring at all.
