Why should we seek out opportunities to serve others?
This is how we can eradicate our past karmic offences stemming from our arrogance and slighting of others. It is also an avenue for us to repay the karmic debt accumulated in past lifetimes due to our ignorance—not fulfilling our obligations, only indulging in pleasures and fighting for our own gain. Due to these past transgressions, we lack both blessings and wisdom in this lifetime and encounter many difficulties in life. That is why we should seek out opportunities to serve others, as doing so gives us a chance to cultivate our own blessings and wisdom.

Being vegetarian long-term prevents major illnesses

The benefits of vegetarianism were promoted long ago by Shakyamuni Buddha more than 3,000 years ago. More recently, a medical doctor wrote a book called Why should we be Vegetarian which emphasizes the medical benefits of a vegetarian diet. Following a vegetarian diet in the long-term leads to fewer serious illnesses, and even if you do become ill, it will be more easily treated and you will recover sooner than others.

Did you know that it is not necessary to spend money to cultivate great blessings?
To cultivate great blessings, all you need to do is offer kind and encouraging words. When you see someone doing good deeds, be happy for them, offer your sincere praise, and wish them success. If you encourage others to cultivate their field of blessings, you will benefit as well.
