Overall, the Sanskrit word Buddha has numerous meanings, which just cannot be represented by the word “enlightenment.” In a language like Chinese, “enlightenment” is polysemous, so it will bring confusion. Therefore, it is better to retain the Sanskrit word, Buddha.
