Buying meat is instructing others to kill
You may say, “I did not kill any of the animals that I eat; other people killed them already and I bought the meat. I have not committed any offense!” Even though you did not kill the animals yourself, you have told others to kill on your behalf; that is another offense in itself! You may say, “I did not verbally tell anyone to kill.” However, your actions caused them to do so! If they killed an animal today and no one bought it tomorrow, they would not kill again the next day even if you told them to.
