Part of the practice of reciting Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s name is to sculpt ourselves into an image of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. What does it mean to be like Guan Yin Bodhisattva? It means to have great compassion and rescue sentient beings from suffering. While we wish for the Bodhisattva to compassionately rescue us, we must also resolve to become a Rescuer Guan Yin—one who practices the Bodhisattva Way and takes in all others.
