If the world is peaceful, will a country still need national defense? No! It is a waste for a country to have its top citizens working for national defense and to spend money on it. If everyone is benevolent and does not compete with each other, how peaceful will that be! If everyone practices Buddhism and becomes more tolerant and respectful to each other, their country will have no need for national defense and policing. Society and the world will become peaceful when people practice Buddhism. It is a pity that very few people do so.
