Compassionate Samadhi Water Repentance Dharma Service
-
Date:

Descriptions:The Compassionate Samadhi Water Repentance originates from the Tang Dynasty. National Master Wu Da, suffering from lingering illness, received Venerable Kanaka’s help to wash away his abscess using Samadhi Water and a repentance ritual to cleanse his negative karma from many lifetimes past. This repentance ritual has elicited many inconceivable responses from its practitioners throughout history. Sincerely engaging in repentance will enable us to change our negative karma and unfold our wisdom, remove our karmic offenses and increase our blessings. This year, we have respectfully requested our Venerable Abbot, Dharma Master Tze Cheng, to preside over the service. We invite everyone to take advantage of this opportunity by making a reservation to attend the service in person, or joining the service online. During the Amitabha Retreat and Water Repentance Service, there will be a “Thousand Buddhas Lamp Altar” set up as an offering to the Buddhas. There will also be Longevity plaques for those who wish to transfer merits toward health and auspiciousness for their living relatives, and Memorial plaques in prayer of deliverance for ancestors, karmic enemies and relatives, so that they will be free from suffering and seek rebirth in the Pure Land. Plaques may be set up online or by contacting the Information Centre.
